With the help of a Structural Engineer, we built this landscape and wine cellar with natural stone. The inside of the cellar is temperature controlled but mainly aided by the natural cooling shade provided by the expansive canopy of the native oaks. The property is situated on a steep hillside, so the plans called for a CMU wall with solid grouted cores. The exterior is faced with natural stone helping to increase the R-Value of the walls. The doors are vintage wood with antique solid metal hardware.
