On this project, we worked with an existing design provided by a Bay Area Architect. The plans call for the remodel of the entire front and side yards. The project is located on a hillside with existing steep grades, making the use of the side yards difficult. We installed new concrete retaining walls that terraced along the front of the house to allow for use-able (new) blue-stone patios. In between the patio squares we installed new grown cover plants. One of the concrete walls served as a planter box for a vegetable garden. Along the side of the house, we also improved the grades to allow for a slightly sloped lawn area that also serves as a bocce ball court. New irrigation lines have been installed and the existing lines have been connected to one central smart controller. A new drainage system was installed as well.
